Rent and Costs
I really am enjoying the game so far, but there are some issues.

First, never in the history of renting has someone ever said "Sure, let's negotiate these rent prices." Rent is fixed for an apartment (at least in my general experience it always has been). Perhaps a better system would be allow me to set the rent and how long the apartment stays vacant is based on the rent price, neighborhood, amenities, advertising, etc... This would make the game feel much more realistic.

Second, rent never decreases. I am 44 and I have rented a lot of apartments in my lifetime. I now own a home. Never in my lifetime has rent, or my mortgage decreased... EVER. I almost always have to evict old tenants because they never want their rent to increase. Even though their costs increase constantly with everything they keep asking for.

Which leads me to, Internet cannot cost $4,000. There is just an absolute cap on what internet can be installed in a location and what it can cost. The internet costs get absolutely insane and tenants almost never agree to pay more in rent during renegotiation. And god forbid one of them move out and it set empty for any amount of time. In one game, in just 9 months, I watched internet increase ~1000% it's not prescription drugs people ;P

And Finally, A lease is almost always a 1 year agreement. It can go month to month, but almost never before the first year is out. Having a tenant want to lower their rent every month or two is absolutely tedious. Especially once you get several tenants. If a lease does go month to month, it is never renegotiated. The tenant pays that amount until they move out, or the landlord asks for a new lease which is always to raise the rent, never to negotiate it lower.

Just a few thoughts. I know it's an early access game so I'm not all butthurt or nothin I just think a few tweaks would help with the suspension of disbelief.

Actually depending on the country you get 6m-1y contracts and you can be sure the landlord always puts money on top of your rent. Rent decrease usually does not happen i agree with you, anyhow owning your own house is the best lifestyle :D.

That said i agree on 90% of your points and thats why i dont fire the game up anymore at this stage.
