Problems with the game
Ok, so I bought this simply to let you know my thoughts and opinions about the game.

1: Not EVERY encounter should / needs to result in a fight. Yes, I understand it is a pirate game but Pirates chose their fights with care. They didn't just charge in attacking a 64 gun galleon when the best they had in their fleet was a 3 gun sloop. For this purpose, I seriously think you should add an option to flee from combat. (which, btw, is something else they would do if they suddenly found themselves on the losing end of the naval combat)

2: With the above having been said, the game needs to have a little more starter friendly attitude. Example: In the 27 minutes since I purchased the game, I have had to start over 4 times because massive warships would chase me down and I had no choice but to fight. Another time, I got stuck trying to do a mission and pass through a very narrow channel (which the NPC did without problem) but left me blocking their only way out. So every time an NPC ship came by, I had to fight until, low and behold, a large warship made it's way to me and destroyed me in the first volley of shots.

3: Make the ship crafting a little more understandable. First time I tried playing this I was literally so confused as to why my ship was insufficiently built or why I couldn't put stuff below my main deck.

4: Inventory doesn't seem to stay. I bought some sand in one town, went to another town bought wheat bags, cut the wheat bags, only to find out I didn't have the sand blocks anymore. Another time, I actually succeeded at destroying a ship, when I reached town, after upgrading mine, (even though I had the inventory just before reaching town) when I said "sell all inventory" suddenly I was empty (and got no money out of it.) Edit: Saw in another post where you state that this is the way the game is? What about the purpose of transporting goods and supplies from one town to another? A lot of pirates did this throughout history. That was the whole point of robbing merchant ships was to take their cargo and offload it collecting all the profit yourself.

5: (Potential Bug) When I accepted a quest, and before completing it, I had hit the escape button, which takes me back to the main menu. When I returned, my quest was gone. I tested this multiple times and each time, no quest.

As someone who logs a LOT of game hours, let me end by saying this:

Don't do what so many of the big game developers are doing. Stop adding things to your game and fix the base problems. You've got a great game here with great potential, but if you don't fix even the most basic of things, your customers are quickly going to bash your product, demand their money back, and you'll be left with nothing but a P.o.S. worthy only of Bethesda or Electronic Arts.

Hope this helps and I look forward to seeing what changes are made to the game.

Thank you very much. I will try to solve these problems in future updates.
Found another bug:

If you buy items from a shop and do not close the scroll (i.e. click the build button immediately, then the order is cancelled, you don't get the items and you lose the money. Just lost 29k this way...
Ok, since you were kind enough to fix my problems, and even moreso on the shoutout credit (which I must admit is a first for me), then I have changed my game review to recommend. In my opinion, though difficult, the game is now officially playable. Kudos and look forward to seeing what else you do with it.
