question about score
Just beat the game for the first time, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun and awesome. Want to get higher than C next time. Is the score based off the amount of chaos caused, like in the old Ray games? Very fun game and worth the buy.

It's based on choices I would have made, usually things that require items or other choices

Also, the + scores (A+, B+ etc) also rely on you having made certain choices which are again, things that might not be mandatory or hard to get (eg: finding all beer bottles in shambles)

Incredible game. Thanks dev!

I think I've seen and done almost all available choices (and achievements), but the best I've got was a "C+" rating. Any further advice would be appreciated...
(I haven't found the flare gun, though)

If you beat Billy at arm wrestling, it's in the ice box as your prize

You get 5 points added for every death, and the choices that I didn't like give higher scores

If you REALLY want, you can go to:

steamapps\common\Repella Fella\choices.json

And see the choices with their associated scores

Thanks for playing :lunar2020ratinablanket:

Billy... yeah, thanks! I think I loaded a savegame after beating him and getting the achievement. Didn't check for new items. Stupid me...

LOL... thanks, I probably will as I want to 100% this game, too...

Edit: Oh, one more thing if I may: The drunk Japanese guy in "shambles", I think you get the taser from him; how do I activate the third "steal" option? I mean without knocking him out.

Not sure if you still need help with the score, but I just wanted to share what I've discovered.
I've managed to get both the A+ and F+ achievements.
In both playthroughs I made sure to do every optional sidequest and collect every item possible, and it seems that items collected / quests completed / kills / locks picked / successful hacks have little to no effect on the letter grade.
Additionally, lower scores get you higher letter grades and higher scores get you lower grades.
In the A+ playthrough:
  • No Deaths
  • Killed the Nimbin
  • Didn't Contract Crabs
  • Killed Warren
In the F+ playthrough:
  • Got killed by everything at least once (Saw every non-chance death scene)
  • Freed the Nimbin
  • Contracted Crabs
  • Gave Anatoly to Warren

Thanks, mate. Really appreciated!

The "F+" was not really a problem, but I still can't get the "A+" achievement. (Maybe the "never trigger a death scene" may have happened, I'll try again)

The best I've got by now was an "A" rating with a score of 35. And about 80ish items.

The only other achievement I haven't got is the "Bzzt!" one. Any clues for that?

Hey there,

The final grade consists of score + certain choices made. So you can get an A by not dying much and making choices with low values associated with them (usually choices that are harder to get, eg: ones that require items). And to get the + rank, you need to have made other choices. Again, hard things to find or do, things that aren't required but you go out of your way to solve.

So to get A+, you have to get a score of less than 75 and...

You must help the prisoner on the train

You must shoot down the plane with the AA launcher (found at the shack via lockpick)

You must find the revolver on the rear seat as the Russian lady

You must find Ciri, from The Witcher, in Shambles

You must help the AEA agent in Shambles

You must cut the lock in Birka (the blue container)

You must win the duel by picking fast draw

You must poison the bandits

You must read the sniping manual

You must find the SMG in the toilet in Shambles

The further down the list you go in ranks, the less requirements there are. So a B+ only requires you to free the prisoner, find the revolver and help the AEA agent in Shambles.

As for Bzzt! - on the mission where you have to kill Alan, use the code on the bollards before you are given the code for the bollards. In other words... try to cheat :lunar2019grinningpig:

Understood. So essentially you can guarantee a "+" score by:
  • Collecting every possible item.
  • Completing every optional objective.
  • View as many "achievement-netting" scenes as you can.

To get A+, and thus, get a low score:
  • Do the above to get "+".
  • Choose options which use items, where harder to get items net less points.
  • Don't die, as dying nets you points.

To get F+, and thus, get a high score:
  • Do the above to get "+".
  • Choose options which don't require items.
  • View every possible death scene, as dying nets you points.

As for achievements I'm stuck with GOAL!. Any hints for this one?
I can see the red can behind the veggie garden and the doggy door on the opposite side of Birka, but I have no idea how to interact with the can. I've tried choosing more "destructive" choices in an attempt to knock the can towards the doggy door, but no dice.

It's basically just messing with the physics, walking over it again and again in a way that forces it to the other side
Skeepahh Jun 19, 2023 @ 7:32am
Your physics hint gave it away.
It turns out there's one achievement you can't get in ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Laptop Mode!

Haha oh wow, of course. Didn't even think of that :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Thank you! Got them all now.

I very much appreciate all the small details in the game like
- the missing dog poster after I "kidnap" Goose
- or the small endscene if the guy survives the minefield
- or the buised face of poor Hamish after I tell on him (with the ammo)
.....

This makes me wonder if I saw all the small post-end-scenes:

- the slaver sniper (two versions)
- "Masha"-guy at Gopota-HQ (with or w/o detonator)
- guy riding into Birka killing Ferguson (two versions)
- Sir Davo (with or w/o "knob")
- scrambled radio conversation in car
- guy on STARS balloon (flare gun kill)
- guy from 2702 in jail (drugs)
- frozen tour guide
- minefield survivor walking
- shrunk guy in pocket
- suicide guy from Birka survived

Anything I might have missed maybe?

That's pretty much it! The Masha one has three versions, a third one for if you have the detonator and the RPG is used by bandits to blow out the side of the building. Just a little visual difference.

The only other scene you could possibly see, which is included in the Steam version, is this (which was for pirates, and never shown on Steam):

Steam\steamapps\common\Repella Fella\media\credit-pirate.webm

The scrambled radio conversation is the voice actor who voiced JC Denton in the original Deus Ex :jcdenton:

Thanks for noticing the details!

Thanks again for another super quick answer.

I like playing games and I like devs who like their own games. And without a doubt, that's the case here. The love for details proves it (also the whole "Pirate Edition" shenanigans...)

Can't wait for the conclusion and will buy it for sure! :pretzel:

Wait, so how do I get the F+ rank? Because I didn't do any of the things above and I still got only a F. Do I have to avoid grabbing items and lockpocking all together?
