this post is in every game with anti-cheat and its the dumbest ♥♥♥♥
I dig the idea of this game, but that's two massive red flags before I even get in game... no thanks
This was concerning to me as well, a game opening regedit with admin permissions is sketchy as hell.
You could make it only necessary on public games.
At least I am not the only one thinking this is too sus.
Weird anticheat (never heard off). Wants to open regedit.
It gives you an error even when you just wait at the UAC popup for installing that weird "anticheat".
TOO SUS.
It's almost guaranteed if this game picks up, it'll be picked apart by the community for having such requirements.
Just look at how much stuff they are collecting and doing, then just avoid the game.
"This Game has been developed by Proxima Beta Pte. Limited, a member of the Tencent group (“we”, “us”, “our”).", so you know how bad the anti cheat is.
Yup, so this registry edit issue has been reported to the devs and they are investigating why this happens.
This is not the first free to play ♥♥♥♥ fest that has done this and it won't be the last.
Also: Why does this game have so many stolen sounds? One even from Warcraft 3's Menu?!
This truly is sketchy as ♥♥♥♥! At least we have another prime example why using VM's, containers or other alternatives are a good idea when something seems "too good of an asking price" for software.
