Not only are they dumb and horribly designed for aerodynamics. But maybe if they didn't have retarded titanic stupid high heels their running speed would exceed that of a slug. What I'm saying is, they look stupid. And the designer for the class is stupid for designing them the way he did.

I thought Wing DIvers looked dumb in 4.1, but I just can't get over how they're basically just wearing underwear with a jacket on in 5.

I guess the whole 'well, it's to keep them light so they can fly' thing works on me, but I still think that the uniform designers at Earth Defense Force Headquarters or whatever could do better.

I definitely would not describe the EDF games as "parodies" of those old B-movie schlock from an earlier era. Even in the English translations, you can tell everyone is having a good time delivering the most ridiculous lines in over the top way they can think ok. The people that made these games have an honest love of these films and media and wanted to portray that love with ludicrous amounts of gibs...and bugs. If anything it wants to BE like those old B-movies.

Parody is not negative, so not sure why you wouldn't call this a parody.

Parody - an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.

It's one of the better forms of praise writers can give each other.

To reiterate an actual solution, should you be offended by the costume:
When you beat the first playthrough, you unlock the tutorial outfit, which is more covered.

If it bothers you so much, blitz normal with one of the other classes to unlock the tutorial suit. Then start a hard playthrough with WD, which is more than possible even with no extra armor or weapons at the start.

Doing that on hardest or inferno is a different ball game tho.

Ive got less then 10 hours in the game. The WD is fine. And their mobility on ground compared to flight is SUPPOSED to be slower. The game tells you that!

I have to add that the texturing and overall blending on the edf5 version wingdiver was much higher res and the artists really rose to the occassion. i liked the edf4.1 wingsuit better but the lower polygon count couldn't really bring out the artist's talent.

im looking forward to how 6 plays out, i wonder if they'll update the engine at all, or just expand this one, cause it's butter smooth.

Great catch dude, i always thought they looked somehow familiar. i've watched some of those and the 'female sky hero' theme is strong in edf. absolutely awesome. the 'world of the future' era really sparked some imaginations lol.

bruh u realise that the walking speed is slow because it suppose to off set the fact that you can FLY right? you are suppose to use your jet pack dude not walking to everywhere unless you don't know how to manage fuel. the reason why they are slower on the ground is because you suppose to FLY! smh. and no dude the costume is fine, they look cool imo, if ain't your taste you can play fully clothed walking tank fencer.
