Driving a vehicle and keybinds
There are common controls that dictate movement, which for me are set to ZQSD since I have a AZERTY keyboard.
For some reason, vehicles have separate controls for accelerating and braking, but not for turning, and I can't assign Z and S to those. Why, and how is that?

Am I supposed to use regular controls for turning, and whatever madness for actually advancing, or is it a bug?

I suppose it's the same problem for QWERTY setups.

It's not a bug. The way it's set up is that WASD are supposed to work for every vehicle and you're not supposed to rebind it even though they give you the option because the control scheme is incredibly poorly thought out.

It works completely fine on a QWERTY, but if you're on anything else or you want to use a different setup than WASD you're borked.

Only workaround I have found is to use a keyboard that lets you rebind it's controls.

If you're okay with still using the letter keys and don't have a fully rebindable "gaming" keyboard, this tool might be useful for you;

It's microsoft's keyboard layout creator. You could if you wanted use it to make the system think whatever buttons you use for movement on an AZERTY are WASD and then run EDF with it's default settings.

But obnoxious though I grant you.

Damn ... not cool.
I'll just avoid ranger until it is fixed, is there somewhere to submit a report? Even if it's not technically a bug.

Well, at least mouse control is fine, quite a miracle for a japanese console port.

wasd are common keybindings, I don't see why anybody would change it!

Some people don't have keyboards set up for that, the OP for instance has an AZERTY keyboard so A is where Q would be for us and W is where Z would be for us. Also some people are left handed, using thier right hand for the keyboard which apparently makes using WASD problematic and makes the cursor keys preferable. Then you have the ELITE players who want to maximize thier efficiency and WASD is poor for that since your time to reach half the keyboard is very long so they play with setups like TFGH. Finally you have people like me who have been playing since the cursor keys were how you played games and are used to that and are loathe to change.

Hmm, I may add that this problem currently exists for bikes, but not for tanks, so there's that.
