Frame Stutter
So picked up this game last night. I own 4.1 as well and that game has never given me problems. However EDF 5 stutters constantly. I've tried all of the fixes I could find on the internet but nothing helps. All settings turned down, windowed mode, Ect. Between the frame brakes it runs a solid 60 frames and I'm certain it's not my hardware being inadequate. Is there something I'm missing?

- Ryzen 2600x
- 16 GB RAM
- AMD Vega 56 8GB
- Windows 10

Did force v-sync off, problem still exist when turn on full screen, no problem with window mode

For what it's worth, I had the random frame stutter issue a while back and solved it by disabling G-Sync for the game by setting up a profile for EDF5 in the GPU control panel to run in Fixed Refresh monitor technology mode and that fixed it. I would guess that it would also be a freesync issue as well since the panel is trying to boost it beyond 60 fps while the game is locked to 60 the game locks it back to 60 with the stutter.

Quiet possible. I suspect the reason i can run the game in Gsync without problems is that i have a 4k/60hz monitor in the first place.
Since my monitor cant display more then 60hz, Gsync is locking the FPS to 60 anyway.

No I cant find a setting like that anywhere, but I could be missing it.

I'm on a Samsung 4k TV 60hz. It really perplexes me too as games like Division 2 and Satisfactory run flawlessly on ultra settings. It says theyre running at 100+ fps but I know I'm only getting 60 because of the tv. But still this game should be perfect as well.

Yeah no kidding. I'm running games many times more taxing to my system with better results. Probably because EDF is a Playstation port

It's a longshot, but try opening Chrome and then have a few tabs open as well. Like Youtube, IGN, Gamefaqs.

Then start up the game.

I had a similar problem, but with a GTX 1060. Forcing VSync off (in nVidia control panel, not sure what AMD has) fixed it for me. Before that, I reduced the resolution to 1600x900 and that worked too.
