What are the best Air Raider weapons?
I've been reading about how strong air raider is but how do you actually play the class and use the weapons well?
The limpet gun is pretty weak and the turret takes a while to reload. Do you just spam air strikes and use vehicles?

for air raider.......
i find autocannon is good for single targets
i think spritefall is one of the best aoe's in cost vs effective

i change 3rd slot and vehicle depending on mission

sniper limpet for air targets on air focus map (you not so good with air)
ZER-GUN is good for air too.

caves, i go with a normal limpet, some zer type gun, and the crawler
again 3rd weapon slot for whatever.

useful tip you can put the zer guns on top of your crawler to add more firepower
they reload auto so you can stay in your vehicle.

Air raider is great once you figure out how to properly aim everything. Spritefall is on of the best for concentrated hordes, and then you have artillery Howitzers and Mortars for spread out ones. Rocket Cannons and Autocannon beacon shots are good for how spammable they are.

Spritefall got triply buffed in this game compared to 4.1. It's stronger, bigger, and cheaper, not to mention it'll pierce through even unpiercable enemies like the mothership and transport ships to hit enemies below no matter what. It's as good against airborne enemies as it is against ground-based ones and will work in any situation.

Phobos covers a huge area in tons of damage, and you can aim it exactly how you want.

Autocannon dishes out disgusting amounts of single target damage and reloads almost instantly.

Robot Bomb will search and destroy. They're really effective against aliens because it's a surefire way to take out their legs without ever having to get into their line of fire.

KM6 excels at clearing the skies of fliers. If the skies aren't so filled with fliers that KM6 doesn't wipe out most of them, you weren't in danger in the first place.

You should never bring any limpets except limpet sniper to deal with transport ships and maybe some splendors if you're underground. Every gunship strike, bulge laser, and most missile strikes reload automatically over time so there's no need for manual guns in most situations.

Most Air Raider weapons are pretty good, but the ones I mentioned I keep coming back to.

Spritefall and any bomber that can clear 90% of the buildings on the map so you can snipe bosses/spawn anchors

What specifically is usable underground? I know cave crawlers and limpets are. Anything else?

Ze guns and robo bombs can be used too, if that wasnt obvious. I think anything that is not air dropped can be used, so air strikes and most vehicles are out.

If you are able to use artillery, I like to run with 2 artillery, a limpet sniper and a vehicle. The two I use are the 150 single barrel (iirc) and the 180. I chose these because they both have multiple shots and don't have to reload every time you shoot once, or build points to use one. So, my advice is choose airstrikes or artillery that give you several shots as a feature of that weapon. With the 150 and 180, you can basically switch between the two as they reload to have mostly always active artillery with minimal cooldown. Also, since they are somewhat pinpoint AE, and not large AE, it's a bit easier to avoid friendly fire and put the artillery exactly where you need it.
