You can disable that by turning off "Camera Effects"
Because grenades here are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ powerful (some are). And aside from that there's no point to them since you can carry rocket and grenade launchers that do the exact same thing but better.
Play fencer for satisfying weapons
Why? It would not provide you any advantage whatsoever.
This is an arcade shooter not a damn warsim
so much better omg
and the issue i mentioned with the jumping isn't a controller specific issue. you have to be moving forward in order to jump over something. If you run into something then jump you will just jump up/down and not be able to get over it. This could be remedied by allowing us to move forward a tiny bit while in the air like other games do
1/ when a weapons is said to have a scope , the weapon 3d model does not reflect that. (especially when it's suppose to be an upgrade from a previous gun... they both have the same apearance)
2/ when i am not shooting for a while, my character do not lower his weapon (ex: when listening to the seargeant ) aka: the character is ALWAYS aiming.
1) scope affects zoom effect and possibly also the accuracy.
2) is combat there's no need for the lowering of the weapon and it saves on needless animation work.
seriously a customer trying to get developers to do as little work as possible? What has the world come to
and saldy nto the 3d model
The EDF philosophy is *where* the work gets put into. Graphics and believable equipment are not on the list. We know EDF looks like crap, it's *always* looked like crap on whatever generation of hardware it's run on in the past.
But getting swarmed by 1000 simultaneous giant monsters while building-sized enemies are breathing fire at you? THAT'S where the work went into EDF. =) EDF is about scale, spectacle, and crazy-ass gameplay. It chases these things with a purity that denies all concepts of polish and detail.
On your second point i gotta ask. Would you lower your weapon when the enemy can literally burst out of the ground at any moment? I would have my weapon ready at all times in a world like that.
yes you would because it exhaust you less than being aiming all day . + based ont he even during the mission: you know when there si nothign nearby and you ARE suprised when they come from underground.
hell , EVERYONE but you are like this. nobody except you walk constantly aiming. that's why i think it's sad that you can't do it
Regarding drop rate, this is not true. Drop quality is determined by mission number and difficulty level setting. If you play lower mission numbers will you forever get the same equipment, and not get the stronger gear.
Stronger monsters drop more loot. Basic monsters usually drop nothing and occasionally drop one item, strong variants/mutants drop more items, large monsters always drop multiple items, bosses drop a pile. People looking to collect as much loot as possible tend to look for mutant hordes (for instance in 4.1 the enemy of choice for looting was silver spiders -- haven't played EDF5 enough to know what's best this time around).
Regarding difficulty curve -- EDF gives you "breather" missions in between the tougher parts. This is by no means unique to EDF. The difficulty in general increases over the course of the game though. That level with the first huge saucer mob is the first genuinely challenging level. Afterward there's an easier level with them (plot justification being EDF refined their tactics and now they're winning -- until a new threat comes). There's an ebb and flow to the game of victories and setbacks, but it all builds up over time.
