Good ways to kill transport ships as Air Raider?
Title, basically. The limpet snipers don't seem to have the range or damage needed to take them out reliably anymore. And most of the vehicles lack either the range or gun elevation.

Is the sniper maxed out in range? I suggest replaying a few mission. Also if you doing the mission where you first kill them all you need to do is wait for it to come closer to the ground. You need about a 120 meter to reach the ship. I suggest more how ever or it could take a couple of passes.

Just about any Nix will do. You could guide missiles under and up into them, fly a helicopter inside, use the terrain to angle a tank/crawler up at them, unleash a swarm of flying beetle bombs, use airstrikes if the dropship is at the perfect height for the bombers to fly through them (I think only one mission allows that), and probably more I can't think of right now.

I'm pretty sure I saw an AR I was playing with use a spritefall on the dropships. I think it clips through them and hits them somehow. Not sure how effective it is though.

This works too but only when the hatch is open.

Use nyx especially the red series since mobility is great you can just hover + blast them and quickly jump out

Im fairly sure this doesnt work. I am an air raider and I purely do it to kill the enemies under it to make an opening for the wing diver I play with.

pro tip: use a wing diver as bait, call in spritefall on them (with their consent) and finish levels in half the time.

I played online with a Ranger on PS4, and since my limpet sniper out damaged any of his snipers, I was the dedicated ship destroyer for the entire campaign.

That's when the vehicles like tanks and such come handy.

Also if the transport ships are flying low enough, jumpjet into them with red Nyx and take it down with flak cannons and flamethrowers.

The vast majority of transport ships fly low enough.

When i played air raider, my normal limped gun had enough range to hit them in the hatch.

yeah, when the hatch is closed the ship is immune to damage. i know this because as a wing diver i flew inside of the hatch one time when it closed, and you can apparently stay in there, but the red circle is immune to damage while its closed. its a great setup for killing it with a wing diver, but you literally can't do anything but wait for it to open while inside.

Spritefall does no damage to transport ships, the attack has to come from below to count.
