Role Models crashes Steam after Mac update - sharing screen via Google Hangout

Me and some friends were trying to play Role Models, but as soon any one of us drew a face after joining the room and clicked OK, Steam would immediately crash. This usually happens when we try to use a photo, so that's why we draw our faces instead. I have a brand new 21.5' iMac, bought three months ago (not to spec, but close), and my other Mac is a 2015 13' Macbook Pro. The game crashed on both. We were sharing the screen via Google Hangout so others could see, but I don't know if this is related to the issue. Just felt it import to add this detail.

Is this an emerging issue since the last update? Does anyone have a fix? Thanks

I have this problem too! Hoping for a fix soon since this is my family's favourite game!
