WRC 8 Saving issue - Progress is not being saved

Just like in the title, the game never saves my career progress, or any settings to say the least. Is there any workaround because this used to work fine before, and now its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Much apprechiated any response!

So far nothing.I did some firewall tweaking regarding Outbound rules. Will test today when I come home and let you know.

If anyone else has any input it would be great!

I tried disabling steam cloud I tried opening new ports for the game on my pc. Nothing is helping. This error just recently started happening

I THINK I'VE FIXED IT! Seems like there's an issue with cloud saving. I had to follow these steps in order to make it work:
* disable Cloud saves for WRC8
* uninstall the game
* delete the C:\Documents\My Games\WRC8 content from that pathway
* delete the Cloud Save which was previously downloaded from Steam when you
downloaded game the first time around. This game's ID is 1004750, and the save
should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata. Just look in the folder for that ID,
when you find it, open it and delete the SAVE.dat file.
* reinstall the game
* make sure that the game has no firewall restrictions, if there are any, you'll have to add the .exe into the trusted applications.

Once the game starts, if it prompts you to the driving test you should be good. Everything should be working from that point onward. Let me know if it works for you.
If you disable cloud saves, there's a big chance once you delete the game all the career progress will be lost. However I'm unsure how to go around it and you'll just have to make do.

it still doesn't work, at what point should the career be saved?, when I leave after the Swedish rally, it is not saved

Did you do all the steps? Career should be saved inbetween races and at HQ.
