WRC 8 - Help collect "Online" Achievements on Steam?

Anyone trying to get the WRC 8 Steam achievements:

Race master
Win a Stage in Authentic difficulty

Challenger
Win a first Stage in online Multiplayer mode

as well? And would like to help get them? I have helped several folks with Need for Speed Heat, and Just Cause 4 online achievements... and that worked out nicely for everyone involved.

Preparation

I would prepare most of all of this: you would only need to temp friend me, we can then chat via Steam about all of this, you change 2 settings under WRC 8 options, I set up the online server and then invite you to connect.

From what I have been reading up on how to get the achievements:

1. Temporarily add me as a friend on Steam.
   
   
   
2. Be sure to set your difficulty in WRC 8 gameplay settings to Authentic via:
   Main menu->Options->Gameplay settings->Configure->Difficulty->"Authentic".
   (Seems to be important when connecting.)
   
3. Also set your damage effects (probably optional)
   Main menu->Options->Gameplay settings->Configure->Damage effects->"Visual only".
   
   
4. I'd then set up a server via
   Main menu->Competition->Create lobby
   
5. Server will be a:
   - Lobby visibility: Private game,
   - Damage effects: Visual only,
   - Category: WRC,
   - Special Stages: "Stage only"
   - Rallies: "Rally Sweden" (-> Torsby 5.67km)
   
   
6. On the next Online Lobby page there are "Invite a Friend" buttons that should then let me invite whoever in interested in getting the above achievements.
   
7. Then one of us will let the other player win the first Stage, and that should with some luck unlock both achievements.
   
8. (Then we repeat the whole process, this time letting the other player win.)

Apparently "Race master" is bugged and according to a guide you have to do the following to unlock the achievement, after winning the 1st Online Stage (above)!

1. Quit online mode after winning the 1st Stage.
   
2. Change your settings back to easy via:
   Main menu->Options->Gameplay settings->Configure->Difficulty->"Easy".
   
3. Select solo quick play, and pick any stage and win that stage as well, via e.g.
   Main menu->Solo->Quick Play->Sweden->Torsby (5.67km)->WRC->...
   
4. Once you finish the stage, the "Race master" achievement should unlock.

Dang. This is one reason why I wish I bought the game through Steam. No achievements when buying through Epic.

Hmm... no one seems to care about collecting Steam achievements and/or play online regarding WRC 8? Sigh.

Apparently when you run a Public Match and a second player connects, that is not enough to run a stage... the game launches and then says "Waiting for Players", i.e. apparently you need more than 2 players.

Strange, since what I have been reading, for a "Private Match" two players do seem to be enough. *Sigh*
