Fanatec wheel support

On the WRC 8 page, it says Fanatec wheels are supported, including Podium direct drive wheels. Is this accurate? Does anyone have a wheel in this list that doesn't work with the game?

I feel like they added in every wheel they could find via google to the list without actually testing any of it..

i have csw v2 base no ffb;(( all buttons are ok but still no ffb i sent a mail to technical support but no response

It says right here in the list:

So I was right, that list is google copypasta.

I have Fanatec Clubsport Wheel Base V1 and also have NO FFB. The wheel is recognized and works WITHOUT FFB? Not sure what is going on. This wheel is also listed on the supported wheels list (I am using the PC version of the game).

The wheel is recognized and I have to set a "new preset" in order to assign my fanatec pedals, fanatec clubsport seq shifter, and Husquieveld Handbrake. All seem to assign and work, but still no FFB on the wheel. Am i doing something wrong?

Note the first time I powered up the game the wheel was not powered on. While in game, I then powered on the wheel for the first time... i wonder if this somehow messed up the FFB? Maybe wheel needs to be powered on before launching game?? I tried deleting the presets and relaunching the game with wheel powered on and reassigning the controls but still no FFB? not sure

Also note, I am on Windows 7 64 bit.

(Also FYI, my wheel and FFB works fine on WRC 7 at the moment, just played it now. So it should def be able to work on WRC 8.)

Try deleting all your user data and preferences with the wheel turned on the way it should be, and reconfigure it all from square one.

If that doesn't work, contact the devs on the WRC game official site.

If you alt+tab out then go back into WRC 8, does that help? WRC 7 had a weird issue with coming up in windowed mode, out of focus. Worth a shot.

Yesterday, I did delete the user preferences in the users/my documents/wrc8 folder then attempted to reconfigure (with wheel powered on before launching game) and the FFB still didn’t work.

All my devices are connected separately via USB so I have 4 separate USB cables going into the PC. I wonder if this is somehow causing the problem? Maybe I’ll try just plugging the wheel in to see if I can at least get the FFB to work. ( normally separate USB ins is fine though on PC as it is working fine on wrc 7).

I wonder if anyone else had no FFB at first and then figured out how to fix it? Is there some way to reinstall, re-hookup, or some file to modify to fix it?

Seems like for most people either the FFB works or it doesn’t?

still no solution.... i tried evreything no ffb for my fanatec csw v2...i also tried to change ffb config folder in "wrc 8/common/settings/inputhardwareFFBconfig" nothing changed...i wonder fanatec base firmware version can be the reason i still use oldest firmware(65)

I did update all my drivers and firmware to the newest yesterday for my fanatec csw v1 and still no FFB. (If I recall right I’m on driver 328 and firmware 626... I’m not at my pc now though so I can’t double check.)

Wheel Base v2 + BMW M3 GT2 + Pedals v3 + Shifter 1.5 and the Fanatec Handbrake. The installed Firmware is the newest One.

FFB works perfect on Wheel and with the Pedals,no issues. It has wonderful FFB Effects, if it works.

Im playing with Windows 10.

For csw v2 latest driver 328 so the firmware 627 i think

I'm in the no FFB boat too, wheel recognized, buttons/axis ok, but all (but one) FFB settings grayed. Fanatec DD1, W7x64, I've tried several USB ports including USB2 and USB3 ones, removed all other USB peripherals except keyboard and mouse.

It's not the first time I see this kind of issue with input working but FFB not working because of the wheel not being detected as an haptic device. Maybe it sees another haptic device taking precedence and accept only the first one, maybe it detects devices in a way even disconnected haptic devices are taken into accound for the FFB part,

I've and Xbox One receiver which generates 8 devices (nothing is listed in input devices list but if I use a tool to list direct input devices, it shows them even with the receiver unplugged) and I've vjoy installed but disabled.

What if you unplug all usb except just mouse keyboard and FFB wheel. Then uninstall game and delete wrc8 user preferences/saves from the users folder. Then reinstall game fresh with only wheel plugged in... maybe this will cause the game to see the wheel as the proper FFB device?

How else can we fix this? Hope wrc8 developers can take note of this, communicate with the community, and patch it soon.
