WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship

How does the game play at 60+ FPS?
WRC 7 has weird stuttering at 60+ FPS making it unplayable at high frame rates--and it was not particularly good at maintaining 60. How does WRC 8 play with FPS above 60? Smooth or filled with stutter?

I managed to fix my stuttering to very smooth all in game settings. For anyone aiming for 60FPS (high end PC's)

Display

Full Screen Borderless
Physics Simulation sync HIGH
V Sync -STANDARD

Graphics

Kept Texture on max (medium) then changed vegetation, crowd and water to medium everything else high, very high.

Post Process

SSAO - HIGH
Reflections- MEDIUM
AA- FXAA+TAA
DOF, Colour grading & Vignette OFF
Sharpen - LOW
Motion Blur OFF !

Then go into game settings (green menu on stage start) and change Camera settings (2nd menu) Camera Shake OFF.

I kept Dynamic FOV on and it is fine.

I haven't noticed hardly any difference graphically but now runs smooth as butter. I hope this helps anyone else having issues until a patch enables high settings without big FPS drops.

Edit: As an added note in Sounds menu the engine is default at only 60% I turned this up to 100% this makes a big difference to the engine sounds.

Adjusting the engine volume slider will actually adjust the volume of all the games sound effects. This includes tire and collision effects as well.

Thanks -Fish-

Yes I realised this after, but all good as I use headphones so tweak when needed now i know it is there. The rain on the car sounds cool. I am really enjoying it now it runs smooth. Some great stages especially with the dynamic weather. :)
Text string I found in the .exe file: "Enable VSync on PC for best physics simulation experience"
To view the game engines CPU and GPU FPS (Physics and Graphics) use the games internal FPS debug menu.

In UserSettings.cfg file change Engine.ShowFPS = "Hide";

to:

Engine.ShowFPS = "Advanced";

or

Engine.ShowFPS = "Advanced Maximum";

another crutch for the reduction of fps.. the behavior of cars has no effect

The game has bigger problems, Australia -design from Minecraft )) boring Finland and disgusting HDR :steamfacepalm:

Nope! Real solution is. Keep all on max settings (Vsync on) an Use Riva tuner and cap WRC 8 to 60fps. No Stutters. no need to dowgrade some settings with "High end Pc" my pc is just GTX 1080ti I7 4770K and 16GbRam. Monitor: Samsung C49 32:9 3840x1080Px super UltraWide 144hz hdr.

My solution to get the game running absolutely smooth with more than 60fps is as follows (for Nvidia users with G-Sync and more than a 60hz monitor): In the windows Nvidia settings I made a WRC 8 specific configuration under the game tab with these key settings:
Max refresh rate: use application setting
Low latency mode: Ultra --> helps a bit to reduce the V-Sync input lag.
V-Sync: use application setting

In game settings:
Fullscreen 99hz refresh rate
V-Sync Standard
Physics synchronisation: Low --> this eliminates the horrific stutter for me at 100fps although it's not 120, 60 or 30fps.
Graphic settings all max except crowd is low.

This is my workaround to get more then 60fps. I can't get steady 120fps unless I turn down the graphic settings so 100 is a good compromise.I hope for some of you it will work, too.

i realy wished to know what that Physics sync is. For some players change that make it more worse, other helps that.

Sync in sync))
Skidding cars will occur more smoothly, synchronizing with the refresh rate of your monitor
For a powerful card and processor, it is unlikely to spoil the picture.. and here is for the weak, unambiguously stuttering((
I changed it to low. But for me it seems to stutter more a few seconds after i changed it. I changed it back to High, im not even sure if that makes a Big Difference.
Try switching the physics calculation in the graphics card to the processor and turn off synchronization in the graphics card settings
What video card? view on the hood?
What exactly does physics calculation do?
I don't know why, but with manual change I have more stuttering than semi-automatic, crazy

Removes the load from the graphics card by shifting PhysX to the processor

is not surprising, the more devices the more difficult to a computer
