remote play doesn't work

So i bought this game so me and my friend could play it for some good nostalgia and also because it said that remote play works, but when i launch the game and pres shift+tab the game just freezes and nothing happens. Anyone know what the problem might be or the game doesn't support steam overlay?

Same problem here, no clue what to do. I tried compatibility mode for windows 8 & 7, then tried running as administrator. Nothing worked. No clue what to do, but they *really* shouldn't advertise remote play if it's not going to work.

Got it! Do friends & chat in the bottom right of steam to open the friends menu without the steam overlay

But can your friend in the other end control his/her character? I can't make it work. I can make the other player to join the session just fine, but she's not able to move any of the characters. Not with a keyboard, not with a controller either lol

I also cannot get my friend to be able to control a character or anything, any fix to this yet?

Try installing Parsec, its a great app for online same pc co op for lots of games and it allows people to also controll your computer so they can press keyboard controlls on steam games, flash games etc
