Layout of level 3 prison change???
On this currently playthrough, I approached through the front entrance and proceeded all the way to Trotur. I got 2F key after killing him which grants access to the bloodpit and to the prison. The problem is, the walkway that connects level 3 basement to the bloodpit just disappeared???

I remember with earlier playthrough and watching other youtube vids, after I got past the iron shakespeare in the basement and enter the prison, there used to be a long walkway that connects it to the bloodpit on the otherside.

What happened??

Layouts always change each playthrough. Usually it's still there just in a different location.

The game's map is composed of a set of predetermined maps for each floor, with a few extra variables. It's not entirely random, but there are variations. For instance, in some Prison floors, the long walkway is composed of two cross-intersections with the second leading to the stairwell to the bottom (with a strong door blocking it from this side). In some there is a walkway along the south side. And in some, the walkway is split into two halves which force you to navigate past one or two guards/elite guards to get to the gore pit.

There is a variation on the Basement floor with a locked door which can be opened by the Small Key found in the chest in the northwest, and there is a variation which is without wooden doors. There is a first floor with a long hall with columns on the side right at the entrance, and there is a first floor where you are forced to pick a path right as you enter. The Ancient City of Mahabre is the only mostly static area, where the only randomization is which destroyed roadway may lead somewhere (try using a Stone!)

Another thing which is randomized, on Terror and Starvation difficulty and Hard Mode, is where you may run into the Crow Mauler. Right before Le'Garde's cell in the Catacombs, or on your way to the fake bookshelf in the second floor, the wall may crumble! It pays off to prepare.

There's a chest with a key in basement B? I had to run through the entrance on T&S bc I couldn't break that door down with the knight

I recall jumping down a well or something to get there, the door opens from the other side
