No Player Death Animations

For some reason I'm not getting any player death scenes when I die. Can anyone explain this as this is very disappointing. Is anyone else having this issue?
More specifically whenever I die it clearly loads up the scene but then immediately fades into the Fear & Hunger screen as if I had chosen to skip it.

I think all you have to do is go into rpg maker and fix a few lines of code. Someone posted about this awhile back I think...

That's appreciated knowledge but I'm not knowledgeable on the matter. Any idea how to go about doing that?

Neither am I- I still play the game completely vanilla haha. I definitely remember somebody posting the answer here though. Happy hunting!

Well for anyone who may be curious the issue has miraculously resolved itself and my cut scenes are fully intact after not trying the game since the last post. No clue what happened. I didn't notice a patch update or anything. Was there maybe something Imissed?

Not all enemies cause a special sequence when losing to them. Enemies like the Guard only have a chance of doing their sequence.
