Battles ARE avoidable, and should be avoided (generally) to start. Make sure your character has the dash skill to start.
Saves are NOT 50/50 if you do it right. Think about the situation logically. There is a way to make sure you can save "safely." Do not try to abuse the crow-mauler save point.
The game is not nearly as random as you may think.
My advice is to start the game as the mercenerary (Cahara) with the dash, lock picking, and escape plan skills. Run around, avoid enemies and traps, and learn the game. Get more characters and figure out the general layout and puzzles in the dungeon
If you are really gung-ho on fighting, play as D'arce with dash and her defensive skills. You can learn combat relatively risk free this way.
Good luck!
Assuming you paid for and own this game, you may as well try to have fun with it without spoiling everything for yourself. I un-ironically enjoy it, even though it is quite brutal. Also, I am a complete degenerate (if my pfp wasn't a complete giveaway) so I fit in with the target audience I guess.
You can get dash with any character by getting to the dungeon as quickly as possible without packing anything. A bit counter-intuitive but there you go.
Just a warning, Enki (the mage) is SEVERELY gimped if you choose to start with the dash. I wouldn't recommend it. Ragnavaldr is probably the worst character, but also the most fun to use IMO.
The guy is complaining about something that is fundamentally part of Fear & Hunger, it's why I suggested alternative means to experiencing the game, because it isn't everyone's cup of tea. Agree to disagree I guess, this is just my personal opinion.
Yes i know is cheap. But that's no the point.
I was really interested in this game. I love hard games and all, but 'cause of work and stuff i dont have as much time for gaming as I would like and I already have a big backlog of games that i rather prefer playing than torturing myself with this game in my rest hours.
unless is not that bad and its actually a good time to learn the ways of the game, I rather watch it than playing it. 'Cause, so far, this game looks more like a "♥♥♥♥ you, get gud" meme-game, than anything.
I recommend you don't watch any LPs. Don't like, don't comment, don't subscribe. Just enjoy the game on your own terms.
Run skill is usually better than Run standard command, its enhanced by the skill escape plan to be almost guaranteed, but there is never a 100%, I think it goes from 90% to 95%, but the fount is not very trustful.
Run command is 50% chance to escape.
To run with 100% chance you need an agility more than 16 in your whole group, which is adquired by the special white angel soul (only one party member per soul, though), and using the Run command rather than the Run skill.
I hope it helps.
