The Reign Of The New Gods MOD

Hi, guys!

I recently installed The Reign Of The New God mod for the game.
I'm very bad at these things and I'm now wondering if I installed it "properly".
I was wondering if there is any quick way to check some features that would show that the mod is indeed operational?

The mod web page said that there should now be ability to to start party talk on the overworld by pressing T -key and that lighting torches is now moved to L -key. That isn't the case for me an T key lights torches as usual..
And then another promised feature was that the character wouldn't light a new torch if their current one was still burning bright. Well, that isn't the case for me since my character still happily wastes all their torches if I press T repeatedly..

So, yeah...

I would really appreciate any replies and experiences you are having with the mod and any tips for fixing it.

Easy way to check, is the default keybind for T torch or talk. I just installed it last night hoping it would fix my issues ruining my experience. Haven't hit it yet atleast.
