Screen not updating
I keep running into the same bug over and over, sometimes at the start of combat, sometimes in dialoge or a menu. The game keeps running normally but whatever was on the screen is all I get to see from then on. I can fight, screen transition, even use items during this but it's forcing so many resets and dragging progress to a halt given how much time can go between saves. Must be the 9th time It's hit me already this run alone. Is there any way to unstick it or is every second I play just at risk of a bug wasting a ton of my time.

Just encountered this for the first time during my first run. Any updates on it ? Were you able to keep playing despite this OP ?

EDIT: I found several threads posted about this issue, search "freeze" in the search bar. One of them seemed to have a solution, still needs to be confirmed whether it's an actual fix : https://steamcommunity.com/app/1002300/discussions/0/3833172420318118081/

Getting the reign of new gods mod fixed it and all my other issues. Lotta of run ending bugs get fixed by it thankfully.

Got this first time after tons of playing. Best run start I've ever had too, absolute tragedy to lose it. Guess better look up fix to not endure that again.

Luckily you can just continue the save without issue. It's a very well made mod.

Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to save yet during that run. Failed 3 bed coin flips in prison, figured it's fine I'll go get Legarde then come back for birb bed. Greedy I guess, got a book of enl too and didn't wanna spend it early.

Tried to menu to the save book while blind, sadly used my passage of mah instead and then it just felt like it was over.

I thought this mod would have fixed the issues I've had with garbled/missing text but it hasn't unfortunately. It happens every time I save and comeback to the game later. Your issues seemed to be somewhat similar to this one bug I am having but I assume that isn't the case.
