Does this game worth it?
For some reason, this game was on my wishlist (I don't remember why I added it) and it caught my attention. I've been watching gameplay videos on YouTube, but the gameplay doesn't convince me. Can someone who has tried it give me their opinion?

this game is very hard but it is very fun once you understand it or when you figure something out that was messing you up

Yes, this game does worth it. :D But it's not for everyone, and requires a good deal of patience to learn.

Game is deep enough to be well worth it I think. Certainly one of the more memorable game series I've played. If your on the fence I'd reccomend starting with Termina. A lot more polished, teaches the player better, and is less opaque about a lot of things, in general a much more mellow experience with more standard fight stuff to get stronger gameplay. If you want to suffer, overcome and feel brilliant when you make fear and hunger 1 your ♥♥♥♥♥ after it makes you it's ♥♥♥♥♥ a dozen times then it's then try out one. I do think the atmosphere and themeing is better in the first one but gameplay and character writing the second is better. Legit love most of the characters and the ones I don't like are still well written just abrasive.

I would say it's such a unique game that if you want what it offers it's most likely worth putting up with its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
It has a very cool world, a very well designed interconnected map, an excellent atmosphere and great characters.
It's one of the best dark fantasy stories out there and pretty much the only game that actually made me feel like I was playing a "dark wizard" type of character.

However.

It's also extremely annoying at times and confuses blindsiding the player with random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with """difficulty""". It has many scenarios that require meta-knowledge to get out of for no particular reason.
It's also extremely RNG heavy, and not in a way you first thing. While most of the direct danger RNG can be avoided, drops and loot is almost completely randomized and since progress is heavily reliant on loot, it can make or break your game.

it's cool but stuff like save points having a 50% chance to kill you make it get stale pretty fast. Dumber players will say SkIlL iSsUe but if you have a life just watch a playthrough

Not a skill issue, but definitely a knowledge issue. Killing the first "boss" gives you a safe place to continue from right away before you even reach Crow Mauler

yea exit the area then reenter and try again if you fail the coin flip that's just torturing the player with tedium. You fail some rng, die, then do the exact same thing to make an inch of progress. Doesn't matter how cool the art style is that gets boring af

They don't. It's 50:50 to get an enemy encounter currently alive in the level. If you kill everything there is nothing to attack you on save. Once you clear the zone you can save all you want free of charge. If the elite guard isn't in the prisons it's by far the best spot to clear out and save and I believe there can only be one elite guard on the upper levels and he has a lot of spawn points so it's unlikely to be there. There's like 6 beds there, for some reason it'll still coinflip and force you to move to the next bed over but easy infinite save.

" Players should be still aware that there is still a chance to occur another coin flip check even after defeating Trortur, failing the check will summon the Elite guard instead and be forced to fight them. If the Elite guard is already eliminated, then failing the coin flip will cause the player's rest be interrupted and temporary won't use the bed due to the adrenaline from the strong sensation of "killing intent".

so exit the area then reenter to try again if you fail the coin flip
the game is tedious
you are being tedious

Duh, the elite guard can spawn on torturs floor. It's one of his spawn locations. So duh he can be spawned as an encounter on any zone he is patrolling. Think your just being a bit dense. I litterally said to not rest on the same floor as the elite guard.

the fact that you have to flip the coin after killing the guard is the issue. you have to exit the area then enter the area until you don't fail the flip if you want to save. that's tedious.

It is a mild inconvenience indeed and silly, it's why the prison is my favourite spot because it has so many beds, It only lock that one bed and if it happens again you can go back to the first bed which in prisons is the room over. Mahabre also has another room with a bed right next to the door for convenient saves. Much nicer then the garenteed save bed room. Prisons staircase shortcut makes it close to pretty much everything so it's never a long walk either.

All this is moot with the infinite lucky coin spot in the thicket though.

the entire game is like that; it's completely unbalanced and carried by the zombie snuff edginess. If it was reskinned with generic anime it would be another no-name rpgmaker project with all negative reviews. Unsubscribing from the thread because I don't want to hear you complain about my opinion.

It's more you were objectively wrong about the death flip thing. I actually agreed with you about the empty zone flip still being a thing which I find funny. Too butthurt to read I suppose.

Thankfully the second game does away with that, your garenteed interrupted if you didn't clear the threats or garenteed save if you did. The dev did take lessons and feedback to heart in the second and cleaned up a lot of player unfriendly things. Improved a lot from the first game to the second.

It ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks, but it it the best video game you will ever play. (Only if you like the genre, it's personally my cup of tea.)
