Freezing

The game keeps freezing every so often and when it does I can still hear the game and move around and use the menu but the game is frozen on a single frame. I heard this is an issue with rpg maker games and 144hz monitors but I limited my FPS to 60 and it still freezes. Any fixes out there?

I actually found a fix from a video. Go to google and search "Fear and Hunger Freezing" and it should be the first video titled "RPGmaker Freeze Fix". It did the trick for me which was just editing some lines in the engine file. also limit the game to 60 FPS.

I know I'm months late and that you've probably finished the game by now but is there any way you could lend me a hand. I can't seem to find the video and I really want to play the game but the freezing makes it unbearable.
