Enki: should you go for Dash at character creation?

Does it make sense for our Dark Priest Enki to pick Dash at character creation?

My main issue is that if you pick Dash, you don't start with any combat spells or skills. No Necromancy, Pyromancy Trick, or Soul Stone.

You start with Mastery over insects, Alchemilia vol. 1, and Counter-magic. That's it.

Until you find a Soul Stone to spend at the hexen table, you are just some dude with a sword, and with nothing useful beside the ability to undo magic.

If you pick God of Depths to worship you are getting strong spells but they can't be used often as they cost 30 Mind each, or give parasites.

Necromancy seems really STRONG, Tho i havn't tried it myself since im currently making my way through with the Knight.

I can say tho that the Dash skill for everyone else is 100% the best option. Speed is OP AF in the game, playing without it is hard to imagine. Most enemy's will now be able to run you down and everything timed(story event's, torches, Mind, Hunger will all take a much worse beating.

You could spend your first empty scroll on getting dash, I don't think the early areas are too terrible without it.

hmm i havn't learned about the empty scroll system yet.
I assume you get to pick any skill you want with one?
even so, Id say on most characters the things you get instead of dash really aren't all that worth it(you'd still be using that empty scroll on dash instead of something else)
However I think the dark priest has to give up necromancy to get the dash.. In that case id say yah, Wait for a "empty scroll"
