modern mac support

the game doesn't work on the current version of mac. I was wondering if you will updated it or if i'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I played the game on my windows computer i dont have access to that right now.

Well to be honest I think it should not be listed as mac compatible if it does not run on current system. Purchased it was well and now cant play it.

yeah I want to add to this, I only bought this game because it said it was mac compatible, there should be a more obvious warning that it will not run on modern versions of the OS. Very disappointing.

seems like a 50-50 when it says it wont work post-catalina. I always peek in discussions to see, which is how I ended up here

I believe you can return the game.
unfortunately apple loves to make it super hard for devs to make games work. I'm also not entirely sure who puts up what its compatible with on the steam page, but maybe a report saying that it doesn't work would help it get changed.

Its just apple's fault, they love to make it insanely hard for anyone to make programs for their systems. The developer tried. Also it should work if you have the latest release, you just have to brute force it. It opens after 4-5 tries for me and the game runs from there with no issues

I just booted it up on an M2 air and it booted up first try with no issues. OS version is Sonoma v;14.4.1

It doesn't work well with some versions. my friend has a mac and she has to open it multiple times for it to work.

thats because Apple began to reduce software support for Intel-based Macs from 2023, every modern mac port is only supported with there own Apple M1-4 silicons. If you do have it working with intel, you'll probably run with tons of bugs and issues! :D love apple making e-waste!!!!

Before they started using their own proprietary M-series chips, Apple computers all used Intel processors. Crap ones too, my mac can't even run an RPGmaker game apparently

lel, I forgot I applauded people for saying it didn't work and evidently bought it anyways a few months ago. I just tried it and it did the black screen thing after I got to character select. I can't remember if it's f5 or f6, but in RPG maker games, the key forces a reload and it seems to be fine after that. M1 sequoia 15.1.1.
