pc randomly shutdown while playing

Hey Guys,
i got the problem that my computer shutdown while playing.
Complete random, but mostly after i beginn a new day.

Its the first time got Problems with an game.
I would say i got a good PC
someone got the same problem?

i checked the game for any problems and reinstalled it.
my drivers are all up-to-date.

check the temperature of your cpu and graphics card

ingame my temperature of my gpu rises on 70-80 °C
when it reaches a critical temerature it shuts down.

My GPU reaches near 100% workload
thats the reason for the high temperature

i changed the resolution but still happpens, even in window mode.

allready actived VSying and max FPS to 144

i play on a ultra widescreen monitor 3440 x 1400
maybe thats an issue.


tried to play in windows mode on resulition
1940 x 1080 the temperatur dont pass 80 °C
but still nearly 100 workload

Well I am not really familiar with AMD systems. I only can say that my RTX4070 is at about 45-50°C when I play this game (1080p max settings, 60 fps). Do you have this problem only with this game or also with other games - dont get me wrong but this is only a Unity Engine Game so it should not stress your hardware that much.

Maybe try a newer/older graphics driver?

I have this problem only with this game.. never before..
still crashes in window mode with 800x600 resulotion

workload goes from 12 - 80 % all the time.

can i change some settings in my GPU?
it hast to be the this problem.

i installed newest from my amd gpu.

Yeah than I dont really have an idea. I dont know if you can change a setting in the driver. Last time I used AMD Drivers was 15+ years ago :D But its strange that Vsync does not help and the workload also goes up to 80%.

Did the game work normally at any time or do you have this problem since the beginning?

Last time ever i will use AMD GPU.

Everytime i start up the game it resets the frame limit. So the game starts to pump out all the fps it can, which in turn put alot of workload on the GPU. You can check this also with the Steam overlay, turn on the FPS counter.

go to amd adrenalin and lock the fps, cause the ingame options are bugged.
i got a rx6800xt and have no problem with overheating.
it is normal that a GPU will work at 99%, thats needed to get most fps
but if it gets too hot, you should set lower fps
my GPU is watercooled, I dont have the problems, but in that game it should not work that high. 100°C is not too high for amd rx6000 series, but its not well designed.
maybe you should try to get more cooled airpressure into your case or your cpu cooler is heating up your graphics. as the ingame fps locks are bugged you really should play along with adrenalin, there you can also speed up the fans to get better temperatures. but to be honest the game is not designed very good in this state..... it also bugs around and gets some freezes for me, and I never had problems with my card. we shuld wait if they optimize the game for high GPu use. but its always a chance to get better temperatures if you handle your airpressure better.

i think the problem is my widescreen Monitor 3440x1440
i set max fps ingame to 30
and on my amd adrenalin,
even the resolution ingame to 1980x1200, not working

if i play in window mode, a little window btw, i have no problems with overheating

try to limit the clock frequency of the GPU for this game only.
I had also issues with my AMD card and this fixed it.

Same Problem here, PC Crashes no overheat on CPU (was on 70°C before crash). I didn't look at the GPU but really even that should not crash ANY PC nowadays and speaks for the game.

amd ryzen 7 5800X - 70°C
AMD RX 7800 XT (PowerColor Hellhound red devil) - 56°C UPDATED
32 GB RAM

limited on 60 FPS + VSync on 1440p

Nothing overheated just killed my pc.
