Multiplayer doesn't work

Bought the game started it up and tried to play multiplayer with my girlfriend , except the multiplayer feature doesn't work.
When I invite her she gets the invite but is unable to join me in the lobby it just bring her to the main menu and the same to me when I asked her to try and invite me.
We are in different countries not sure if that's a problem either.

try to invite over steam, right click on her name in your steam friendlist and click invite to game, thats how i did that too

Do you mean I should open the game start a multiplayer game, then tab out of the game , then invite her from the steam tab instead of the ingame tab?

She gets the invite messages on her chat box but when she clicks it it just loads up the game and brings her to the main menu not to the multiplayer lobby. And we tried her inviting me etc still the same issue.

I just got the game to play multiplayer. We both loaded the game, I made a multiplayer game invite only/password both work, then I invite from the lobby screen after setting up my character. Did it twice that way with no problem. So maybe, both of you be on the menu, then you create the game and invite.

but nothing works not on steam and ingame

I'm playing fine with 3 others. When You are in multiplayer, Choose between 2 to 4 players. then click the "Invite only" No need for name or password. Then when the theatre looking room appears then invite Your friend. She will then get a notification on Steam that They will need to click. Once in the room they then need to click "Ready" & Then You will be able to click start

i think i had a similar situation before. i play with my sister, she's in Southeast Asia and im in the US. so i dont think the distance is the issue. But i do had a problem where i invited her and when she accepts, it just brought her to main menu and not into my lobby directly. So moving forward i had her get into the main menu first and then i invite her to lobby. It works well ever since. I always check the Invite Only box. Put in Name and Password (However invited persons wont have to enter password upon joining) and also i set max players to 2 Since its just me and her that plays. Hope it helps! if not.. :( im sorry!

howww to invite at lobby can u teach me... When I invite my boyfriend to enter multiplayer, he will only go into the game menu ꒦ິ^꒦ິ
