can't start playing

I bought the game yesterday and I was full of hope to play it .
The game will start , but I only see the welcome menu and after clicking all the buttons on the controllers , nothing happens . I can move with the sticks across the room , but that's all I can do :-(
I'm using a Oculus Rift S .
What am I doing wrong ??

Do you see the laser pointer? If so, have you tried using the index trigger on either controller?

We just tested on the Rift and Quest. Both work perfectly. Steam had an update today... that might have something to do with it. We were having issues before shutting down Steam and letting it update after logging back in. Hope this helps you!

Our full release is very close to being ready... ;)

Hi , thanks for your quick reply.
But I still got the problem . I do have the laser pointers, left and right . I hear the music from the musicbox and also the clock is correctly working.
The right index trigger brings me to the Oculus menu and the left one , shows me the Steam menu, where i can choose to configurate the controls and the video.
Looks like i'm the only one with this problem. Maybe I'm an extraordinairy case

Hmm, sounds like you might be facing the back of the room. Try looking 180 degrees behind you... it might just be the way your Guardian is configured. The game menus should be there in front of the board.

We're about to go live with the full version. Try updating by 10pm EST and hopefully that will work for you.

Behind me is the music box.
In front of me is the welcome menu and behind the menu is the dartboard with the darts and the scoreboard.
But I will wait for the update and see what happens 😉

The update is out. You might need to log out of Steam and back in... also, try uninstalling the game and reinstalling.

Is it possible you edited the controller bindings? If so, try resetting them to default in SteamVR.

Hi guys (girls?), I have uninstalled the game and installed it again and now it works .
The game really looks good , but I need a lot of practice

Hi, the game won't even launch over here. I'm using Oculus Quest 2 with Virtual Desktop and it won't launch from the game menu in VD or from the Steam client. Reinstalling did not help either. It blacks out for a few seconds and then comes back to the desktop. A moment during those few seconds, the sound of air? Or ambient sound? I don't know how call is it, I can hear something like that. So I think the game is running for a moment and then coming back to the desktop due to some error.
What should I do? Is there any error logs or information that I can share to help resolve this?

Hi Mr. Grumpy... Sorry for the delayed reply. We're having an issue with Steam VR loading the game properly. Everything works fine via the Oculus Rift Store and App Lab Pre-release versions. We're looking in to a solution right now. We understand your frustration. Hopefully you'll come back to the game once we have it fixed.

The game should now be visible in your Steam VR Home, and 'Play in VR' should work. You may need to restart Steam and Steam VR for the fix to work. Please let us know if you have any further issues, and sorry for the inconvenience.

The game won't launch for me. Not from steam and not from home vr. I'm using Valve Index.
