So, punching in 4 "runes" randomly sometimes does nothing at all. And following random inscriptions usually ends up hurting you and depleting your pages completely.

But sometimes something else happens! Though... pages were still depleted. Helps to keep some living waters handy.

Here's what I've stumbled across...

Y for up, the hooked rune with the triangular bottom
X for down, the bow-tie shaped rune
0 for left, the oval rune
4 for right, the rune that, well, looks like a four.

Y440 - chicken spell, chance to turn enemy into chicken item
X404 - fire spell, kills any enemy in one shot
0X0X - ice spell, immobilizes enemy for a time
440X - self-heal spell, heals... yourself.

XXXX - create an item
04Y0 - create an item
40X0 - spawn a random enemy
X44X - spawn a random enemy


Has anyone discovered anything other than item/enemy generation?
