HTF do I Crouch jump
Help. I'm dumb as a rock, but crouch+jump does nothing, letting crouch button go, or letting them both go, only makes character to stand up.

Think it's jump then hold crouch

That is the most counter intuitive and akward control design decision I've seen in modern gaming.

It's been pretty common since Half-Life.
Jump and crouch while in the air.

Yeah, quite a few. From the Boshocks, FEARS, Fallouts, other Valve titles like Portal, to other boomer shooters like Cultic, Turbo Overkill, Ion Fury, The Citadel. Forgive me Father, Boltgun,or more weird mix-genre stuff like Lunacid, Metro, Farcry, Robocop or Alien, and multiplayer ones like Overwatch or the L4D series, suppose it all depends in which are you referents. But when I read Crouch+Jump I interpret Crouching to "charge" the jump then release. Otherwise To jump higher you could just make the player press longer the jump button. But this still feels super counterintuitive to me. Maybethe text should be change to "Jump then crouch when in the air to reach higher places". Because I highly enjoyed all of those titles (and many more, but I don't want to be writing game names for half an hour) without crouching mid-air to progress.

ure trolling right?
it's supposed to simulate bringing your knees up to your chest like you would in real life when trying to jump onto something quite tall.
Granted "mantling" would be the more popular implementation in modern games, however being locked into an animation to climb up a ledge doesnt really suit a game of this style

You must be really ancient, because crouch jumping is anything but modern.
I mean, unless your first games were on Magnavox or something.
