The Priory was awesome, I loved the stone buildings contrasted against the snowy setting and then the descent into hell through the floor of the monastery. Awesome setpieces.

Shadow Pantheon was a huge, super fun maze with so many different monster placement and encounter setups, I had a blast.

Undercrofts was cool, again with the snow. Really had a creepy vibe that I love.

Twilight Altars was awesome, too. Really cool concept with the displacement.

I'm playing Watchtowers now so I haven't moved into Act 3 yet. I almost don't want to because I'm having so much fun lol.

Backup your save, finish the game and go back😁.

Oh yeah, 100% replaying this immediately. I see they're going to be working on multiplayer. That will be cool. I definitely want more maps, hopefully a few more episodes/worlds because this is perfect for me.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the blood pits. That's my favorite level by far. Not just because of the atmosphere and the creepy eyes that watch you, but also because it's an appropriate length compared to the other levels in the game.

Long levels don't bother me. In fact, exploration heavy maps are super fun. I love spending a an afternoon methodically clearing out an area and exploring it, I find it relaxing. I don't need to constantly move onto the next thing. Some of my all time favorite game levels are the huge custom maps from the Quake 1 modding community.

But yeah that level was nice, felt like I was playing inside of a Slayer album cover lol.

The Red Thrrone, aside from the very ending, is very focused and well-made as the culmination of gameplay to test your skills. Crystal Dunes, while it isn't hard, I found to be very enjoyable. Blood Pits and Hollow are pretty good too. Crucible of Souls is imo probably the best of the fairly long levels and feels very Doom-inspired. A lot of the other levels would rank a lot higher if they were trimmed a bit and had a few less obscure doors.

Just played Rending Chambers. Holy cow, that is a masterpiece!

Crucible of Souls goes from worst to best just by changing how falling into pits is handled. Instant-kill is just too significant a penalty.
