Use "Face Stab". I'm just creating a video showing it.
Right Right Y
Maryna's problem is range, so the face stab lunge really helps.
yeah boss type fights in a game like this has to be some of dumbest ♥♥♥♥ I've ever seen.
Utilise your skill and the game mechanics to the best of your ability. I am at the point where even the hardest difficulty is really not a big deal. It is a final exam so it is designed to be hard and test your knowledge of the mechanics while presenting a cool challenge. As to how to win, it will depend on the character but think of going for targets like the arms and the head vs the body and aim for a mix of parry ripostes and single tempo actions. Play to the strengths of the character you play too. Some have attacks that work very well in this specific fight like Gedeon LFF forward Y. You can even one-shot him with a perfect hit.
How so? Giving an enemy better equipment than you is a fun way of challenging yourself. A duel on equal terms can be trivially easy against the AI unless the odds are stacked against you in some way like in the Story or Arcade. It is a lot of fun overall especially once you get better at the game.
but more seriously, it'll just come with time. I succ ass at this game but I beat him like 5 times already
