I am enjoying it so far personally.
This is just a taste of things to come, and so far I seriously adore it.
As said above I think he will add an easy mode at some point. The additional bandages are already a step forward easing the game difficulty.
That said he should keep this design for the normal difficulty, so that the game offers a bit of challenge.
I have to admit Jacek is far from the easiest to master, especially with his stance switches.
Indeed, it is not the devs fault if the guy did not bother. Plus in real life fighting multiple opponents is very difficult. If anything Kubold is being generous to us even if you do not get the bandage difficulty wise. I think it is a good balance.
Having 2 lives vs. 5 AND counting ALL the draws as enemy clear wins is not a good balance.
Would be okay if the draws were, you know, draws.
It took me a couple of attempts. In the end, I've finished without being scratched in a single fight. It adds tension. I like it. Though, I suppose a difficulty settings should be there for other people.
But if the main character dies he is dead and the story is over. Encouraging you to stay alive encourages good fencing and offers a good amount of difficulty. You can get like 5 different bandages if it is too hard before the fight if you go looking or something anyway.
Come on... Better for you would be to have god mode because making it easier is equal to god mode.
And this quote says everything:
For this reason, although it might seem punitive, I would like to have Jacek's story mode (and other characters' stories) to be played with one life only and, once a character is defeated, player should start all over again. As matter of facts, during my first story run, I felt that saving and reloading game broke the climax and the "magic" of storytelling hence checkpoints and game pause should be strictly allowed only if player really has to quit game and resume in a later time (from time to time, your hero would need to take a rest after all!).
As far as it concerns the horse movement and camera, I had issues as well because I was bumping here and there. To fix this issue devs should increase camera FOV distance a little further than its current value.
