i love bushido blade... and yes i love hellish quart too.
I don't want to give you many details about it because it's a lot of fun to watch these ingame interactions and they surprise you... what I can tell you is that it doesn't disappoint, the mocap work is excellent and the physics of the swords feel very natural and real in a certain way... it really makes you feel like you are brandishing a deadly weapon, so don't trust yourself...
the game is diferent yes but is fun and deep at his own way... you need play with the correct distance of your weapon, the autoblock isn't perfect, you can break his guard with melee atacks like punchs and kicks, the guard can be use in manual mode if you hold a guard.... like holding high guard or low guard.... and this tactics create new posible situations too... you can hold a midium guard to keep a secure distance with your enemy.... or even force your opponent to try to hit your blade to destabilize it and thus deal you a second blow, but you could, for example, stop holding your guard just before that blow to land a surprise blow just after his miss.
the game dont play with one boton... you have 4 atack botoms, left low, left high, right low and right high... thats define the direction of your atacaks but depend of other variants too... character fight style, weapon, your movement state and some other iterations... some chars like isabella feels almost like in bushido blade posture... etc...
There was 2 games on ps3 who were like hellish quart. But wete deeper. They were only digital purchasef. Dana white of ufc sponsored it

I think HQ is a fun way to do some duels with friends. There could be a Little bit of random, but it's part of every duel.
I'm playing with friends and the ones that know how to deal with tempo are often rewarded
Worth 100% time and money spent
