We also had a team tournament with 6 teams recently
Single player here. The game is worth its price, if you like fencing. Plus, it's currently discounted -25%.
Are you worried the AI of the CPU-driven characters may be bad? I'd the AI it could be improved for sure, but it's not bad right now, although not challenging as an experienced human player.
Given the devs have stated multiple times that the current AI is just a placeholder, no, I wouldn't be worried at all about that.
Because you are used to play local or remote PvP?
Lol "friendly", you literally banned every HEMAist and the admin is such a schizo all the Hellish Quart discussion literally moved to the /r/WMA discord. People got sick of the constantly "WE WANT KATANA" suggestions everyday.
Also stop shilling your discord and your "tournament" thats literally the same 5 people. We're all sick of it.
Its not bad if you tend to play fighting games solo. I boot it up to solo play if im not playing online with friends.
Funny that someone wanting another type of sword n the game is merriting such a hateful reaction from you. The game is based on HEMA to an extent, it doesn't mean there can't be other types of swordplay involved, you gatekeeping nutjob
Lets add landsknechts to Sekiro, and anyone who suggests otherwise is a gatekeeping nutjob.
Also we have barely scratched the surface of what swords to add to the game, we dont need yet another katana added when theres literally thousands of games that already feature them. Some people cant over the western japanophiliac obsession with katanas i suppose *shrug*
Id rather see a spadone, messer, or maybe even some indian weapons (or whatever Kubold is really to learn and mocap) than a katana. Then again i wouldnt mind a samurai as an april fools character so people learn their history as to why samurai got so salty over europeans when dueling.
If you want your katana, go play Soul Calibur or the thousands of weeaboo games on steam.
Name ONE game that is realistically based like this one, that features Eastern weapons?
Newsflash kiddo, there ain't. People want a katana in this game because it would be NICE to actually see a realistic depiction that isn't some anime bullcrap. And shame on you for being a little prick gatekeeper and saying "Hurrrdurrr other gaems hurrdurr." Nobody wants to change the core game. They just want another style of sword added. We have the African style covered now for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake, but heaven ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ forbid a Katana gets added, hooooooly ♥♥♥♥ that's too far.
Grow up.
None, now that you understood the point we dont need katanas.
Go play Bushido Blade, its basically Hellish Quart but Japanese focused.
I dont know, it sounds like youre getting upset a game focused on european fencing traditions doesnt have something Japanese. Your japanophilia is a bit much, i think you need a break from pop culture and stop collecting anime convention katanas and actually learn the martial traditions of other countries. I know its a hard habit to break due to the western media obsession over japanese martial arts and culture but youll get there i believe in you! ;)
Once you study a bit of history, especially japanese history, katanas and samurai as a whole become less impressive and kinda laughable, they were a "warrior class" that took themselves too seriously and when they got beaten by foreigners they had a major hissy fit (then submitted and changed their entire culture to mirror the french by 1860). But what do you expect from a "warrior class" that mostly "fights" unarmed peasants for fun (look into Tsujigiri and Kiri-sute gomen). Even famous samurai such ass Miyamoto Musashi got annoyed by samurai on the regular because they were pants on head r*t*rded,
The game is at it's best as offline multiplayer game like most fighting games. Game mechanics do offer some depth though but unless you've anyone to play with there's not much incentive to learn other than to get better at the game.
BB is nothing like HQ. I'm still surprised people think those games are similar.
