A fatality eh, sounds good, but lets take it slow, I'd rather the game release stable first

You can already cut off their head to end the fight. It's literally one of the two grapples in the demo.

Would be a bit silly, over the top and not quite fitting to the possible 17th c. AD settings, tavern fights or duels.

I would appreciate a bit more visual wounds however, for example entrails visible when hit in the abdomen, or so. ;)

thats not how duels worked

I am firmly against mindless displays of primitive barbarism. Did people chop each other's head in civilized countries after a duel? No. Let's not sink below our animalistic instincts.

Dueling was a display of primitive barbarism, lmao. The entire culture was based around manchildren who were taught to be offended at literally the smallest perceived slight, and thus had to defend their honor by stabbing the offender. It was basically ye olde Twitter.

That said, a decapitation already exists. And, these things DID in fact happen. However, I agree that it is totally unrealistic and frankly unimmersive to have "executions" that take place after the duel is over. That's not how things typically went down, as you have stated.

Some of these people should really look at happens to the human body when it gets hewed by a sword or saber. It's not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pretty. You really don't NEED to cut off their head, lol.

I love the fact that characters after they score they get out of opponents reach and then celebrate. No unnecessary finishers, no unnecessary putting yourself in danger.

And I'm concerned that in real duels there wasn't finishing your opponent. You get the score- you won. There's no need to kill your opponent. I think it's even dishonorable to kill defeated duel opponent.

That depends on time, place, and customs. Its important to remember that different countries did things differently and that Europe wasn't a cultural monolith.

Agree. Some "fatalities" is need for this game for end of good battle, like cut off the hand or pierce the enemy at last round or give him a mercy and don't kill - that would make victorys is much desired. Well, probably Someguyinhere is right

I'm sure there will be more grapple kills in the finished product. As it is in the demo, you can actually cut their head off if you want. It's a two button grapple at close range. You can also cut their hand off! It's not super easy, because it won't usually happen from a hand snipe. You have to catch them in the wrist with a cut, so typically it'll happen on a good counter attack. But yeah, you can dynamically cut their hand off, which of course is a win.
