Yes, Bushido Blade wasn't really that realistic to begin with, on contrary to what Skallagrim says in his video about best sword fighting game. We see there riddiculous chase, dumb moves with exposing your backs, stupid jumps like in hollywood movies, people falling off and instantly standing after being hit.

Well, yes the game is more realistic; being that its 20 years younger, and that BB wasn't meant to be all that realistic... The devs could've copied the Bushido Blade layout and added stance switching (low mid high) with lb and lt and then A for low atk B for mid atk and Y for High atk then B for parry (xbox layout used for convenience) but i still have yet to get technical with this game and decide if maybe i do like it more.

I think it's fair to say BB had a realistic damage model, but not much else in it was realistic and was not trying to be. I loved it, but I like HQ even more. Not just for the realism, I think it's more fun too.

It feels like Bushido Blade 2021, same mechanics but nowadays graphics. Would be awesome when they add samurais and kind of bamboo forest as background!

Yeah DBTB looks exactly like Bushido Blade, i hope we get an early access this year.

I'm sorry but they need Japanese developers making games like that. Everything about it just feels slightly off. Mostly the animations.
