So, just because you can, doesn't mean you should
DS2 has a bug with mouse where it adds 300 ms delay to clicking, and even if you disable it in settings, bug is that after game restart this setting is off again, you need to reenable it, I didn't know about that so I just used my DS1 experience playing on keyboard only since mouse is bugged.
When DS3 came out I was already so used to num camera controls, num0 for light attack and num7 for heavy attack that it became just easier for me and more comfortable to play like that than using mouse or gamepad when I got one lol.
