cs 1.6 video mode (openGL) failure....

This is what compare when i try to change video mode....and i dunno why .. there is something i must do ...but i dont know what :( ...i cant play counter 1.6 in sotware mode.Someone can help me ? thx

and when i play counter in software mode ( by saying that im playing :( ) i cant change weapon to right hand ....i tryed cl_righthand 1 ....also i types H then choose the righthand ...and nothing happend...IF SOMEONE can help . .....thx a lot

for the software mode problem: go to library and now counter-strike right click and properties, and now launch options and copy this two command -gl -32bpp

if it doesn't work, try looking for opengl32.dll (windows/system32) and copy it to your counter-strike (where hl.exe is, not cstrike)

i tryed both and none of those ideas works ... :((( Thx anyway. When i try to chance video mode compare same message : '' The specified video mode (openGL mode) is not suported.
The game will now run in software mode.'' ... My english is also not perfect , so i hope i can make myself undestood. I notice something... when i cloosed steam and after i opened him again compare this mesage ... : '' Running Steam in windows compatibility mode is not recommended. Please remove any windows compatibility settings for all users under file propetries for steam.exe and restart STEAM. '' I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT MEAN . thx guys

you drivers are not installed, or installed incorrectly. reinstall all of your drivers. [chipset, gpu, audio, ect.]

You can try this for Compatibility settings, on desktop find Steam icon, right click and go Properties, there You can find and uncheck all marks under tab Compatibility than Apply and Ok. Hope this will resolve your problem
