5 FPS in CS 1.6

Hi,

Anyone has solved this f****ing issue??
The game starts always too slow, choppy and below 4.5 or 5 fps. If I change the resolution to 640x480, the FPS boost to 8 - 9, and in the main screen only to 17.

Ive tryed all the "fixes" around the web, reinstalling and nothing happened.

Any ideas?

In the game config, is the video renderer "Software" ? If yes, try to switch it to D3D or OpenGL

That's whats hapening to me in Source games and TF2 now. I can't pin it down to a certain date or update though since I just came back from over a month away. I get max 9fps. I've played all the Half Life mods including cs when it was an unofficial HL mod, and tried every trick I've learned over the yrs. Nothing helped out a tiny bit.

My educated guess is that the Hardware System requirements are higher than what it was before an update and they just haven't changed it on the website or put it in the patch notes(I might have missed something in the patch notes easily though). Like you need a higher shader model than before or something to that affect.

like cs was even using a shader model, simply try -nofbo in launch options if you haven't yet
