cs1.6 is different since the anniversary update

My game has changed since the 25th Anniversary update. the font is different and everything generally looks different. so vague, like anti aliasing was on or something. Is it possible to simply play the old font & generally the old version of the game again without much work?

yes go to library -> cs 1.6 -> properties -> betas -> steam_legacy

Yep. It was just made to resemble the old WON version UI also with the beta bobbing. (CS 1.7 real)

Even the sound, when you open "find server" or "options" are fkn horrible..

try beta-beta installed it then start cs (i got error code) and then again make betas > steam_legacy
otherwise download the game new and again beta "steam_legacy"
