Why is CS1.6 opening as Half-Life now?

Every time I click on CS1.6, it always brings me to Half-Life now. I don't know why this started happening, so if someone could help me I'd be very glad.

You can do 2 things ->
1. Verify the game files.
2. Reinstall the game. Uninstall Half-Life, Counter-Strike and the rest of the GoldSrc games you have. Then delete the Half-Life folder (.../Steam/SteamApps/Common/Half-Life). Ultimately, install everything from the get-go.

Can you try typing -game cstrike in the launch options?

Try this:
1. Go to steam files.
2. Delete Half Life folder.
3. Install Counter Strike again [It doesn't change anything from your settings].
4. Install Half Life again If you want.
5. Open Counter Strike and have fun.

It's working for me, so this will work for you
