cs 1.6 not running on full screen in Windows 10 (Black stripes issue)

Hey guys! I got this new laptop with Windows 10 Home. When I run cs in this, the game does not run in full screen. There appears blank black borders on both sides. I don't want to run the game in widescreen mode.
I have tried a few options related to my graphics and used -nofbo to make it come fullscreen.
Previously, I used to play on 800x600 resolution (which I want on this laptop).
My system specs are:
Manufacturer: Acer
OS: Windows 10 Home
Ram: 8 GB
Processor: Intel Core i5 2.2 Ghz
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 5500 and NVIDIA GeForce 940M (2GB Memory).
Resolution: 1980 X 1080
Any help would be very much appreciated.
