Half-life launcher has stopped working

Randomly when playing any game using the half-life launcher (such as CS 1.6 or Half-Life)
the game will crash and a message will pop up saying "Half-life launcher has stopped working".
It happens at a random time, after about 1-4 minutes of playing.
I have tried reinstalling and adding HL as a DEP exception I have also disabled my firewall and antivirus in case something like that could stop the game.
The problem emerged when I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to Windows 10 so that might be the problem, has anyone found a fix for this?
