How do i increase the FOV in CS 1.6?
The default FOV of this game is 90 but it cannot be increased or decreased unlike the other goldsrc games.
Is there any way to set the default_fov to 110?

No way, because this Fitch works in Half-Life and other Goldsrc (Sourse) games, but not here.

That would be cheating. It worked on half life because it was a single player but increasing our field of view on a multiplayer game would be an advantage so it's not allowed.

Well i've also done it in HL1 Multiplayer but it doesn't work in Singleplayer CS 1.6. (When i'm saying Singleplayer CS 1.6 i'm talking about typing in the console "map de_dust2" without joining or making any servers.

That creates a listen server, once again it's not coded into the 1.6 source code.

The field of view did not increase. If you take an image that's 640x800 and change to 1280x1600 you're not not adding pixels to it to make it bigger you're essentially stretching it out, but you're going to see the same FOV. Say you're desktop is running at 1024x768. Run your game in a window and change the setting to 800x600 then change it to 1024x768 and you'll notice the window got bigger but you did not increase he FOV.

Oh. Well, atleast it feels like it's increased and atleast the guns look smaller now because that was very uncomfortable.

Haha yes playing on a really low setting is very uncomfortable for me also.

actually, you do. because its not added pixels its just a fixed stretch which makes the fov around 60-70. in nexon studio this is fixed by ACTUALLY adding pixels instead of streching it. selecting New Widescreen instead of normal Widescreen does that. go check it out its so good

point would be moot if it was something you could change because literally everybody could change it. this game doesn't scale FOV properly with widescreen resolutions.
