CS 1.6 crashes on Windows 10
The game randomly crashes. I have already tried re-installed the game, upgraded to latest graphic card driver, installed latest Direct X.

Every time it crashes it leaves a dmp file under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\dumps

The error reads:
Process Name: hl.exe
Process Architecture: 0xC0000005
Exception Information: The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
Heap Information: Not Present

There is really nothing left for me to work with, I open the game, play for like 3-5 minutes, then it crashes. No errors pop up.

I'm using a macbook running Windows 10, my graphic card is Intel Iris Graphics 6100, i7 Processor, 16 Gb memory.

for some reason they left this option as "low" instead of old, the new renderer is... newer and may work better with your setup.

Sorry for my bad English translation.
It happens to me that I start the game and it closes suddenly, I can't see the menu ... :( :(

Thank you for you suggestion, I have checked that Direct Play, DirectDraw Acceleration and Direct 3D Acceleration are all installed and enabled.

I wonder maybe it's because my video card is sharing memory with system

Yes I am, do you think that's the problem?

I have re installed Windows, Steam and CS 1.6.
And I didn't tick Low Video Option

I have played for hours now and it didn't crash!

I wanted to try playing with Low Video option and see what happens but now I don't want to take the risk... install Windows is not fun

Thank you again for your help!
