Is it still worth playing CS 1.6 in 2020?

I actually just bought CS bundle this black friday sale, the last time I playes CS was back in 2001, and this is the first time I am playing this on my own pc. Is it still worth it? I noticed that there are few active players on the servers list? You guys, how long have you been playing CS?

Yes, but just if you have friends to play with because alone its not going to be the same.I do recomand the game anyway because its so nostagic and its fun,u will need to learn the aim becuase its different :))

What's fun about this game is the many mods it has.
There's regular 1.6, those are called public servers, there's dd2 only, zombie plague, zombie escape, jailbreak, surf, deathrun, kz, base builder, nightcrawler, hide n seek, vehicle servers, usually called fun maps, paintball, gungame, deathrace, soccer/football, bunny hop, warcraft mod, kreedz, superhero, knife only.... The list goes on.

This is probably the reason this game is still alive.
It's like 10 different games put into one.
Also note that 80% of all players don't play on steam.
They play on pirated version, and cs 1.6 has daily 20k players on steam alone. So it's far from dead.

I myself started playing back in 2009 with friends.
I always keep coming back.

This happens to me so it may be happening to you, but sometimes the player count on the server browser is low, but the actual server is very populated or full. UGC dust2 24/7 is always populated as well as thedarkestsignal.com servers. Try them, they're fun(and a bit chaotic)

Yes it is worth playing it, there are still a lot of players all over the world playing the game until today and full servers 32/32 players, about finding servers it's simple, you can search on google for cs 1.6 server trackers, there you can find a lot of servers with different country regions, and also you can find steam-only servers which accept only people with licensed steam version of the game, good luck and have fun playing this masterpiece game

100k played in cs :) Its legend game, bro) if what I meant is that the pirates play about 90-100k, that's for sure. For go to any public and there 80% of the players will play with pirates. And on the incentive, they play 25k per day.
