CS 1.6 stop, when i try to join in No-Steam servers

Hi guys I have a problem, yesterday just bought cs 1.6 from Steam and when I try to join in No-Steam server the game just stops and when i see my dump files folder it contains crash files, can you advice me how to fix this, I discussed this with Steam Support but they couldn't help me enough to solve the problem.

Try to go to properties and click on verify and validate files option.

You cant join no-steam servers..

however some steam servers do allow non-steam users to join, but that is not "allowed" by steam.

My friend bought the game too and he can play in the server where i can't :)

Well, I suppose that the message that refuse your connection with server is about the p47 protocol. You just can join steam servers or servers with reunion or dproto.

Yes i can, but there is one problem, im administrator in this server where i Cant't join, i tried ti fix this with my friends so many times, but no success, we tried to do a lot of things serveral times

I put it in my .cfg file, when I enter the game just open the console and write exec myfile.cfg, and load my settings

The cfg do this thing thing automatic when i write in console exec myfile.cfg

try joining manually :

open console type:

connect ip address:port number
for example:

1.connect 13.127.88.98:27015

2.Remove all cfgs from cstrike folder

3. Follow tutorial:

4. type in console unbindall , options->restore defaults
writecfg z, restart, exec z.cfg

Finally if you cant connect better ask your friend to give his files

It is possible that the crash joining a server is a model or a broken dll. Delete cstrike_download folder if it doesn’t work reinstall all the cs deleting half-life folder.
