Failed to contact to game server (CS 1.6)

Hey guys,

I and my friends just bought a counter strike 1.6 server, all my friends could connect to the servers but I can't, but when I stop connecting my computer to my router/modem and use hotspot Wi-Fi from my phone, then I could connect to the server normally, so I know it's an issue from my router or modem, but I don't know what the issue could be nor how to fix it, anyone has experience with this?
I basically can't connect to the server from my internet and I think I have a router configuration issue, if I used another internet and not mine server would enter normally.

Could we get some more info? When you say ”we bought a server”, do you mean that you have bought a virtual server or have you bought a machine and set it up yourself?

Of course I did, didn't work.
It worked now tho, I had to change ISP, many thanks :))

We bought a virtual server so I and my old school CS 1.6 friends play together again.
But it's fixed now, we tried tons of things and what I had to do is change my ISP.
