How to stop auto demo record?

Hello I am pretty new to this game.

Today I joined a server and it automatically recorded the gameplay and saved it as a .dem file. I don't want to record demos. How can I stop it to auto record demos. And I also got a warning notification in the chat area that the demo recording is started and after I disconnected from the server I am able to see in the console that demo recording is stopped. After that with the "viewdemo Tm1-de_dust2-01_20_2019-07_53.dem" command I am also able to see the demo.

How can I stop it to auto record demos?

I'm not aware about a method to stop demo recording but the server you are connecting is forcing it's players to record demos through an AMX MOD X plugin. And the warning you see on chat is nothing serious because it's how that plugin was written to notify it's players. These servers primarily use these demos when reviewing ban appeals posted in their forums.

If you are annoyed by all the demos being recorded in the background, consider finding a different server.

You can't stop the auto part of it, but you can end the recording with the stop command.

why do u want stop recording demo? If u get ban thats the only thing that can unban u. But if u want that... just write stop in console

Maybe I am asking a noob question but its been only 3 weeks I bought this game from the winter sale

No my man, you won't get a ban by just stopping a demo...
Like they told you up there, the demos start because of the AMXMOD X plugin. If you're joining that server is because you do enjoy it, so, looking for another one is not an advice at all. Just write "stop" in the console as you join

Im talking about getting ban by an admin. Today's days many admins are stupid and noobs, many ban people that they thinking they are hacking but they are just worst then them. Usually that autorecorddemo is used if u get ban, to ask a unban.

I already wrote that command in both config.cfg and userconfig.cfg and set both of them readonly but for some reason it still auto recorded the demo.

As stated on Valves Wiki, cl_filterstuffcmd "1" does not block the command 'record'.

Instead you can try binding a common key such as B (for the buy menu) to stop any demo recording. Just keep in mind server admins might ask for the recording and failure to provide it will likely result in a server ban.

IE (include in your autoexec.cfg):
bind "b" "buy;stop"

Be sure to include the quotations for the bind to function properly
